As we fall into the upcoming fall months, we are really excited to announce the unique color palette that is trending for girlís pageant dresses. The past seasonís weíve seen red, navy and emerald little girl pageant dress colors on stage but not this fall. So, what are the popular colors winning the judges over this year? The judges and audiences are captivated by Champagne, soft pink, lipstick pink, powder blue and white color choices. This color palette is eye catching and trending now!
Besides a soft color palette this fall, off the shoulder or cap sleeve pageant dresses for girls are a new and emerging trend. We believe that this trend alert is due to the increase of off the shoulder pageant dresses the misses and teens are wearing, and that is okay because we love the look. High necklines still are trending the third year in a row along with the illusion sweetheart bodice. If you like the high neckline bodice, just make sure you select a dress with amazing crystals or stones when selecting a high neck bodice to help capture the sparkle around your little girls face while on stage. The great thing about off the shoulder pageant dresses is that they do not need as much sparkle since the silhouette really frames the face naturally.
What are the trending lengths and skirt styles of girl pageant dresses? As always, very full or floor lengths are the preferred lengths of the judges age 6 and up. Ages 2 through 5 have the option of wearing either a full length pageant dress or a short pageant dress. This year we have seen a lot of A-Line layers of tulle skirts creating a ball gown effect as well as large ruffled tier skirts which make the dress appear even fuller on stage. One new trend is the use of Mikado Satin, which is simply stunning on A-Line ball gown dresses. This fabric feels and looks really rich while on stage. Crystals will really sparkle when adorned or embellished on this fabric. We have noticed that younger girls prefer this fabric over tulle as they tend to feel more comfortable in the satin. Tulle is a fun and whimsical fabric, but for little girls with sensitive sensory issues they find it scratchy. Tulle is amazing to work with because it is easy to fluff out and make the pageant dress appear fuller, but please be cautious as tulle does snag more easily.
Donít forget to accessorize and add the final touches to your little girls look. AB or crystal Rivoli or rondelle earrings are still and probably always will be a hot addition to her look. Colored Rivoli and rondelle earrings are now popular as ever too, which is why we added several colors and sizes to our selection. We know it all comes down to the details to stand out.
