Picking Your Perfect Prom Dress

Spring is right around the corner and for many teens, you know what that means! It’s time again for prom! Girls all over are flipping through magazines and looking at the trends on the runway to see what kind of dress they want to start shopping for. With so much to choose from these days, you may find it difficult to find a place to start. We can help you by guiding you in the right direction. Color: By knowing whether your complexion goes best with cooler colors or warmer shades, you will be able to choose the right hue for you. If you have a warm complexion with golden undertones, you should stick with earthy colors like green, brown, orange, rose and gold. If your complexion is darker and look best in bright or icy colors, stick with a dress that comes in blue, black or white. There are always exceptions to this rule, so go with what you get the most compliments in.

Length: You should foremost choose the length of your dress based on what you’re comfortable in. it doesn’t matter if you look stunning in a dress; people will always notice when you’re uncomfortable. If you’re on the shorter side, choose a dress that’s short as long styles swallow you. If you’re tall (lucky you!), then you can wear any length. A note to plus-sized girls: Show off your legs! For a look that pops, choose one piece of statement jewelry (like a sparkling hair clip or statement necklace) that focuses the outfit.
